Love my Mother mary strap.
Highly recommend. Comfy, good quality leather connection. The styles come and go tho, but they usually have something eye catching and unique.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a fixed length skinny strap? Looks like Original Fuzz isn't doing one anymore. This seems like the closest to what I'm looking for that I've found so far.

Well, I ordered one. Will report back.
It's here. Arrived a few days ago at the exchange rate at the time of my purchase it cost me $42.59 shipped. That's a very fair price if you ask me.

I went for the basic black. There are 3 fixed holes and the middle one is perfect for me. No hardware to scratch the guitar when in the case (I like to leave the strap on) or add bulk. This guitar is < 6 lbs and not neck heavy ,so it works fine for my purposes and looks clean and classy.

The old leather strap that came on my Tele, although cool, absolutely stinks of cigars (and is leather, which I'm not really okay with). My usual black actually looked wrong on it so went digging in my drawer and found this old Couch one which seems kinda appropriate and fits the brown colour scheme pretty well...

Cool! So, in that case, what about sandwiching the strap tab between 2 of the gaskets? Make it tighter and maybe the rubber rubbing against the body wouldn't squeak as bad. Or, with that mindset, a small piece of some other kind of material...
At the moment I've done the latter and glued the felt across the entre back of the tabs. It's eliminated the issue but at the cost of the tab being so much thicker. It'll do for now. I was mostly wondering if it was a common issue with faux leather strap ends or something. Everyone I've asked so far has responded with a similar "you're on your own there" expression :D

I have just messaged Couch and asked if they've changed something. I'd rather not switch brand as I've always liked their straps - they're vegan friendly, comfy as hell and super durable. Plus, I've probably got about $700 invested in them so far hahaha
i bought two couch straps for a buddy years ago, never had them squeak. my current racer x (from 2020) squeaks like MAD in every guitar. I was going to try to rough the vinyl with sandpaper if i get desperate. drives me nuts and is keeping me from buying 3 more.

i’ve had their wallets, passport books, camera straps. i may try felt too, but that does make it even thicker, and I worry about it coming apart or shedding.

This reminds me, they did get back to me. Apparently they've had to switch supplier a few times but I was the first to report back about the squeaking. Said they'd pass it on to the buying team. Sandpaper did nothing to alleviate the issue fwiw.

The felt seems to be holding up well. I bought good quality thick stuff but time will tell. I also have other products by them, that I love dearly, but will hold off from buying any more for a while - not that I need any for a while as I have quite a lot unused as it is.

I just forwarded on your experience as well and they are definitely not happy we're having this issue. They have said if you want to order some more then to message them first and they can stitch them with an alternative tab material for you to try... see if the issue is still present.

thanks! my biggest issue is with pickups that are inherently microphonic like foils. I’d still consider them regardless, love the company, but i will certainly ask about this. I was even thinking about inquiring about a custom one.

I have just placed an order as a test. I will report back with my findings 👍🏻

Ordered this off Etsy. The design looks the business, but it's a bit thin and I'm tempted to put it on a lighter guitar and get a thicker (as in more padding) one for the bass.

Any recommendations for celtic style guitar straps?
