Cool build. Can't wait to see it!
In 2009 Fender did this exact thing with the Classic Player Telecaster Deluxe With Tremolo. I think they made it for just one year.

I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

That is cool! I didn't know they did that. I am surprised they didn't make them longer. :D

Shielding is almost done. I just need to check continuity. :)

The interesting thing about my teleblaster with strat trem is that the trem does certainly change the sound of the telecaster.
I am not going to try and describe the change (given I only compared my build with a mid 70s tele with WRHB) but there is a dollop of strat tone in there or at least the way the strings vibrate and can be modulated that moves it away from the standard tele sound. In a good way.
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

That is cool. I have made a few Jazzmasters with WRHB and I am guessing that they have a similar difference in feel from a hardtail body with those pickups.

Could be all in our heads also, but with art, that makes a difference. :)

it's cool but my brain always says tele deluxe's should be brown
offset guitars resident bass player.

I had a brown one. I didn't keep it. I also had a black and white squier one that I passed along a ways back. This one should be a keeper. :D

Pickguard came in and I got it all wired up and together. :) Just missing a neck and a couple pickguard screws. :D

The WRHBs (Lollars) in a Koll Troubadour I know are wonderful!

Didn't know All Parts made Bullet trussrods. Nice build.

I think Fender Japan have made some more of these recently.

I wouldn't be surprised. They do a lot of neat variations and colors of models. :)
