Current production guitars with V necks, 7.25 radius, and small frets

Post by AWSchmit » Thu Aug 19, 2021 2:30 pm

Are there any (and I mean any model, brand, etc.) stock, current production, guitars with deep V neck profiles (thicker then .90" at the first fret preferred), 7.25 or 7.5 inch fretboard radius and small (vintage fender sized) frets? If so, please mention/link below. I have not successfully found ANY. I'm also mainly looking for USA made as well... Wanting to treat myself without going custom shop. Thank you.
I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

This doesn't really answer your question but I know a builder who happened to make me a guitar with a similarly spec'd neck a couple years back and would be happy to refer you... :)

Vintera 50's Strat if the "Soft V neck" counts but otherwise I would say going to a custom builder (not neccessarily Fender Custom Shop) would be your best bet at getting something exactly what you want since you're not having any luck looking for the golden goose

Hard V? Maybe an older lapton. Or possibly one of the road worn series

Any strat + Allparts SMO-V or SMNF-V? Always exploit the modular design Fender guitars have to cobble together something yourself.

I have a Road Worn 50's Vintera strat that I LOVE. I swear it's like "baby's first custom shop" or something. Incredibly comfy V neck, small frets, nitro finish, and 7.25" radius. The downsides are that it's expensive (mine was $1188.26 with tax and everything), and it's kinda pre-relic'd (I don't mind it that much on the paint, but the "dings" kinda piss me off). But the nitro means that it'll wear differently than others just like it as you play, adding your own personalized wear as you go. Plus, it actually has a "new paint" smell that I absolutely adore. And I really love the pickups too.

It was the first Fender Stratocaster that I actually really really liked. Go play one in a store before they disappear.
