Re-wired my DC 59 to have a master volume and tone based on this diagram, followed it carefully with exception of potentiometer values (I did 100K volume and 1Meg tone).
Now the volume still has output when at 0, i only get about a 50% reduction in volume when all the way off. Moreover, the tone knob only works in the last 5% of the taper and, oddly enough, will fully cut my signal when all the way off.
I've double checked my work thrice and am beginning to suspect the diagram but don't know enough about electronics to spot any potential missteps.
Anyone see anything off? Would really appreciate the help.
Danelectro master volume and tone: anything wrong with this diagram?

Did you make sure to ground the volume pot tab?

Yup, it sure can... and exactly why I suspected that was the issue. It has happened to me a few times before.

Is this for series? I’m doing the same set up and want classic dan electro lipstick wired in series but I’m confused at combining black/bare to ground. Thanks
