I hope I don't get banned for breaking some kind of rule here, posting an offset in the non-offset section, but the very second I saw the Mini-Jazzmaster in Daphne Blue, I said, "I NEED THAT NOW".

Re: Sudden Guitar Obsession: Ever happen to you?
This has happened to me a few times.
When I started playing guitar I had the choice between a tele and a strat. I picked the strat because I had seen Green Day and The Queers playing them, but I had only seen country acts with teles. For the longest time I HATED teles.
Flash forward 15 years, and I suddenly had a tele deluxe obsession. Being broke, I never acted on it. By the time I had the funds for one I had played my brother in law's USA tele. Then I hit the inevitable middle age tele obsession.
Now I'm old AF and have a sweet tele. 15 year old me thinks I'm lame.

The power of the tele is too strong. Once you play one they become undeniable.threewordname wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 1:48 pmFor the longest time I HATED teles.

Honestly, I personally love the way they feel, because every other guitar I have or have owned has tummy and forearm cuts. I like the feel of those too, but without any comfort contours, the Tele feels different.DrQuasar wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 1:00 pmThe power of the tele is too strong. Should I trade my LP Standard for this?

Re: Sudden Guitar Obsession: Ever happen to you?
If it were me and I had another LP - or, frankly, any other double-humbucker-equipped guitar - I’d be hard pressed not to. The St. Vincent is one of the most comfortable guitars I’ve ever played. The pickups sound great. The build quality on the couple I’ve played has been top notch. The only reason not to, in my opinion, would be to hold out for ‘22 model because of the ‘gold foil’ pickups…

I've got my Greco, which is my #1 humbucker guitar, and this Inspired by the Gibson Custom Shop Epi, with Burstbuckers:fever606 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 5:16 pmIf it were me and I had another LP - or, frankly, any other double-humbucker-equipped guitar - I’d be hard pressed not to. Re: Sudden Guitar Obsession: Ever happen to you?
Seeing as you have two really incredible other LP-style options, I'd pull the trigger on the St. Vincent.
