Pictures of my new guitar...82 SG Greco
Such great guitars.. This has a fine neck.. Came with freshly leveled frets too. Once again Greco comes through...

Very nice!
Just missed out on an Greco SG special recently that was from around the same time. They really have the same appeal and vibe as a vintage SG without the price tag.

Oh, man - been waiting to see this! That is killer. I would hit it in a heartbeat.
So that's an SS63-70, right? Shame the lyre vibrato cover is gone but everything else looks great. Does it have Maxon PU-2 pickups or the Double Tricks?

I knew you'd like it.
PU-2, so Maxon i guess, 820315 is what the pickups say and yes SS63-70.
You need one of these.

Re: Pictures of my new guitar...82 SG Greco
wow, what a fantastic SG. i recently picked up a greco SG myself, a SS600 Kanako Nakayama sig. a bit later than yours, they were from 89-91 and probably made in korea.
it's very light and has a nice small neck. i don't know what pickups are in it (presumably not particularly nice ones as it's a lower-end student model i think) but it sounds very nice to me. i'm really happy with it, much closer to my preferences than any epi i've tried.

very nice. how's the vibrola trem? i've heard they work well, but i was always baffled by how it doesn't have a spring... none that i can see anyways.

the one on my firebird is really nice. doesn't divebomb, but good for a nice wobble here and there. holds tune really well

That's nice. Probably Korean, like you say..but i bet just as good as mine. I wonder if they had lyre models from Korea.MechaBulletBill wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:38 pmwow, what a fantastic SG. i recently picked up a greco SG myself, a SS600...
I like that case. Did you buy that separately?

Thx, im beyond happy with the guitar. Its very lightweight and resonant. I think the missing lyre cover makes it look unique and cool too.
