The SG-35 is really nice...this has been on eBay for months...no idea why, they are great. An upmarket version of the SG30 and the SG50 with a mahogany body and block markers.

11 years ago I had an amazing all black SG-1500. It was the shit. I got it for 250 bucks in a pawn shop, and I was like "damn, this guitar is badass."

I sold it almost right away to help put together funds for my wife's engagement ring. But damn, it was an awesome guitar. I wish I still had it.

Likely the fate of many a Yamaha SG. Sighhhh...

In the (extensive) list of my countrymen that sported these back in the day McGeoch is top and it's a quality list.

I'm very excited to receive my '81 CherryBurst SG1000 soon. I've been wanting one for a long time, thanks to Mr. McGeoch.

I sent the Geek a couple of pics and measurements of my 800s as it would appear info on them is quite scarce.

Both great websites. I'm glad other people out there are spreading the word a little. I'm sure they'll all be prohibitively expensive within a year.
