They seem to go out of their way to not say where it's made. I assume MIM at that price point these days.hobbes wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 3:55 amthe "affordable" Fender version is here

Made in Mexico is on the back of the headstock.

I agree, the origin is not stated anywhere (beside behind the headstock), we can assume MIM is the new standard for Fender then

I like your build more than the Fender.

Thank you! I appreciate it. It is my number one stratocaster. It is the only one I have downstairs in my demo office I record those youtube videos in.

Understood. Made in Mexico is the default for the Fender brand. If it's made somewhere else, it will be in the ad copy and/or the product name.

Thanks! I like that it isn't a copy perse so I don't feel like I should be playing just Pearl Jam stuff on it, but I wouldn't turn down a custom shop strat for certain. LOL

Yeah, I vastly prefer the idea of a "tribute" guitar to the "signature relic" approach where they try to copy exact wear marks.
He plays a beat-to-hell sunburst strat, if he doesn't worry about where each paint flake is missing on the guitar, why should you?

For sure. Even his replicas are not perfect and he still has trouble visually telling the copies apart from his real one.

weird, he does specifically mention in the video for the custom shop version that his was re-radiused to 9.5 though so at least its correct to the guitar its based on.
