Steinberger XP-2 Bass
It now has the leg rest thanks to the parts department @ Ed Roman's Guitars in Las Vegas
Just a few weeks ago I put the Steinberger Logo on the replacement Chandler pick guard
Talk about an awesome sounding bass, It has the carbon fiber neck & sounds acoustic unplugged & plugged in it has factory EMG Passive Pickups & shakes the house, best sounding bass we have even better than an active Ibanez Sound Gear & Jackson JPB-7...

I never used to be into Gibsons much, but something about the 50s style Vs and Explorers has clicked recently, those are very nice!

Never been much into Steinbergers myself, but they do sound great!

You should give a REAL ONE a try...
It's really about the composite material
Also every flying V should have a Steinberger fold out leg rest instead of the rubber strip
Once put a stick on rubber pad for a hockey stick on a thin bowled Ovation making it more lap friendly

Nice! I have a little old XP-2 Bass that I love too.
I'm really glad you mentioned Chandler pickguards, because I've been wanting to make a replica of my existing one, but with an EMG35 in the StingRay/MM placement, rather than the stock HB neck + bridge (I have a Nordstrand Big BladeMan 4 that I'm gonna try in it).
Also, where did the replacement Steinberger logo come from? Is it just an old L2 style sticker, or more like what was on the XP-2 pickguard?

Completely unrelated to this thread, how is it possible your user name was available as of 2 days ago? I find that really novel. :D

The handle Jazzmaster was already taken but Jazz Master Wasn't So~~~ HaHaHa!!
I put a Jazzmaster on layaway for my son's birthday & joined just to find out about these guitars
It is a 2013 Modern Player Jazzmaster BTW

Here are two different water slide sellers on eBay for the Steinberger logo
https://www.ebay.com/itm/203493919245?h ... SwaZhgx6qy
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184527095461?h ... SwFe1fqCGd

Not sure which seller I used on the Steinberger logo but did also buy a Takamine Logo in Gold from the seller in Portugal
I have a beautiful acoustic Takeamine that I bought for $30 with a broken headstock, Just today I glued the break & removed the rosewood laminate from the headstock with an iron & chisel, then sanded it flat & started the filling process, I bought a laminate from Stew-Mac & have the Takeamine Logo & will be fixing it up very soon, used Titebond Glue & it's already hardened..
Not sure that I want to waste the added time putting splints into this guitar or not?
I still need to order a Tusq Nut as one didn't come with the guitar that I can remember
I also have a Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite M-III that I am fixing a headstock break on too, Bought it cheaply too...
I have many project guitars in my basement that all need some love :-*
