Seconded!
Shit, maybe I'll build it then.

Two more wacky-ass Ideas!
Might work better as short scales.

Man those are gorgeous. Reminds me of an enlarged Fender Mandocaster.

I like the top one in particular. I'll see your 12 string and raise you a mandocello.

As impractical as it (might?) be, I've always loved 6-on-a-side headstocks with the tuners kinda parallel to the neck, similar to the Silvertone 1457 headstock. Those designs look great !

Thanks!
Yeah, the second one is pretty much an after-thought. Too much like a Ricky, I suppose.
Flurko, yeah, I love the Silvertone 1457 headstock. The way the strings swing to the side like that makes it look harp-like.

Do you have the dimensions on that mandocaster style body? I've been looking to make one with a see through blond finish and a 1950s maple musicmaster neck.

I mean, yeah. I designed these to scale. I can email it to you if you like? either .png or .pdf.
I imagine it would be a pretty big guitar.

Youre in my brain! I just had the random idea the other day to try and mock-up a mandocaster-guitar hybrid but youve beat me to the punch! Yours looks excellent and pretty much exactly how id have done it. I was thinking short scale for my version, but idk if id go 22.5" or 24"..... hmmmmmmmm....

I also think maybe it would look better with a 24" scale neck.
Might do another mockup soon.

I'd love this one & the RD from above!
