I do too!! I'm just saying that as talented as you are, I wonder if a neck-through would be less of a pain in the ass than a set-neck. At the end of the day, they're both permanent (I guess in theory, technically you could heat up a set-neck and replace the neck, though I've never looked into that), and make for a solid joint. Honestly, I've only ever had bolt-ons, and like them myself...

I rubbed some water-based green stain on the Crossbird.
I'm hoping it will look less blotchy when I put the clear on. But I like the colour a lot.

Looks killer! I dig where you put the switch. That's a nice layout. Having the switch there instead of the 4th knob looks better to me. Is the tone universal or just for one or the other pickup?

Thanks. Yeah, the knob layout always looked a bit weird on the NR firebird.
If I were to build another, I would just have Volume and Tone.
Yes, the Tone on this is universal and volume for each pickup. When they are both switched on, they both act as a master volume.

Interesting wiring set up. I don't think I've ever played or seen a guitar that had either volume work as master volumes when both p/ups are engaged. Cool idea.

I think that's how they are originally wired on the old Gibsons.
I've tried wiring it the more modern way, where you can dial in each volume when they are both turned on, but there's always an imbalance.
