Love it. What type of bridge pickup is that? Looks like a jazzmaster, but mounted to the pickguard?

The bridge pickup is a Jazzmaster Seymour Duncan pickup. I designed the cover and had it 3D printed.

And now it's done! Finish work was done by Copacetic. I did all the wiring, assembly and setup. The pickups are Novak Mustangs and they sound fantastic in the locations the body affords.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 9:55 pmThe Contessuar body is just about done!
Couldn't resist stringing it up to see it somewhat complete.

That's beautiful!
Nice work to you and Copacetic!
Looks like a vintage pre CBS prototype that never made it.
Is that a Halon bridge?

Yes, it's a Halon bridge. I like that it's got more a polished look than the mastery and with three saddles, you can flip the middle saddle for proper intonation with a wound G string. Also, it feels a bit more like a traditional JM bridge vs. the mastery which is so locked down it feels like a different instrument.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 9:24 pmThat's beautiful!

Sorta. Here's some screen caps of the 3D model.Steadyriot. wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 12:24 amAny pics of how you mounted it? Looks like a rad setup!CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 4:05 pmThe bridge pickup is a Jazzmaster Seymour Duncan pickup. I designed the cover and had it 3D printed.
The pickup snaps into the underside of the cover with those little clips.
the mounting screws, screw direct into the plastic side bits.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Trying to decide on what bridge to put on this XII Mandocaster/Candomaster?
What do you reckon?
A
B
C
Those are Fender V mod Jaguar pickups, btw. Can't wait to hear how they sound.

My head says choice 3, but my heart says choice 2 with the surround.
