Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Well, these guitars have zero business being on this forum, so sorry about that.
I never had any interest in building a Flying V but who knows?......

Just straighten out the dips on the Flying J guard and it will totally work. Also, you know damn well the Jag thing is exactly what some OSGer is looking for.

I think they are both cool! The V-Jag is my favorite of the two!!!!

If anyone has the contact details for DEVO, I could make these for them, in graffiti yellow.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Some more pics of my Partstang.
Not sure if it should go in the restorations thread.
But it's a legit 65' something Musicmaster body converted to tremolo.
Allparts neck. (when they made vintage correct Jaguar necks with veneer fretboards)
Various other vintage parts like the pickguard and tremolo.
I refin'd it in Dakota red. It's pretty.
Got some cool nitro checking on the headstock.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
I might eventually source an old pitted mustang bridge for it. It just has an import style one on it right now.
And a chrome cover. Also, it's really hard to source vintage tremolo arms.

It's really cool when a design concept turns out exactly how I planned it.
Cross - LeadWood. (Crestwood - Lead II)
(Sorry it's not an offset).

I love the clear hot dog rear route cover. Very clever.

Dude, that headstock shape is SO perfect to go with the body and pickguard shape.
Also, how do you like the Descendent?

Pretty awesome tremolo. I'm kinda still setting it up.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 5:53 amDude, that headstock shape is SO perfect to go with the body and pickguard shape.

I might also get the bridge to go with it.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Good to know! I've been considering getting one of the lefty models to try out. I didn't know they made a bridge too!CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 7:07 amPretty awesome tremolo.
