Thanks!
I made the guitar version of this a couple of years ago. it's based on various Teisco designs.

That shape is awesome. Raw colour of that wood rules as well

Thanks!
This bass will be Sunburst but my next project might be a more natural finish. I'll try and source the knottiest pine possible!

I put way too much work into this "restoration" than it deserved.
Eyebanez Choadstar II

But I dig the colour. Smokey Rose metallic. Just looks like Gun metal metallic but in certain light it is rosey or purple.

This is how it started out. Hacked to death!

Then I glued scrap bits of Alder I had laying around to it.

The original neck and pickups went on another project.

Love these “rising from the ashes” threads. Bloody nice work there.

How did that guitar get so fucked up in the first place? There must be a story to it.

Not entirely sure but i suspect it may have been chopped up to make it more compact to go on tour with.
To fit easier in overhead luggage etc.

If it weren't basically a Strat, I'd say it was worth saving.

Seriously, though, great work. That's a nice colour; there's something satisfying about those finishes that appear one colour but reveal subtle tones in the right light.

Awesome work Pat! You ripped that one from the jaws of death. The finish is like CFM and BMM had a baby. I also really like how the top of the pickguard is more Mustang than Strat. Classy af.

You do beautiful work! It's not fair to just point out one, but the Marauderesque/Jag, I think I'm in love!
