wide range hb hidden polepeices?

Post by rabidhamster » Tue Nov 07, 2006 4:55 pm

I've never had access to a WRHB that I was allowed to take the cover off.  Does anyone know what the polepeices under the cover are?  just solid fender style slugs?

Also, I'm curious as to how long the polepeices, hidden and screw-style, are.  For now Im assuming about standard humbucker length, .192"ish, but itd be neat to know if Im wrong.

Thanks a ton ;)

Actually they are the same just threaded reversed.  The Slot of the Screw is on the top side for the ones that go through the cover, and the slot is on the bottom of the pickup on the side that does not go through the cover.

I'll get a pic or two this evening (Wed) for you.

If I forget and it doesn't show up, PM and remind me....    ;)

I have worked on a few of these but I cant seem to find my pics on the WR for a guitar, but here are some for a 72 Bass it is pretty much the same deal.
I recently bought a couple reissues to work on converting them back to what they originally were, so I will have pics of that too one day.

Wow Curtis, if you convert the reissues to the specs/materials of the originals, I'm sure there would be great market for them! Alot of folks right here are wanting originals, but don't want to pay $400 for one... when they can find them!

Definitely!! I'll take a set for sure if they come to fruition.
