Wow, that looks great.
The white witch hats have almost mythical status, but I reckon those black witch hats look just as good on a JM when the colour scheme is right for them.

Thanks!
And to top it off, this one is from a '64 Fender amp
I like the black pickguard and plastic with the surf green. For some reason, I think the lighter, pastel like colors look really cool with this combo.

PM me your address.i love sharin foo wrote: Yeah, they're old ones. I only have 5 out of the 6 But I figured 5 old ones were better than the 6 TELECASTER bridge plate screws GPR sent me! It would be super cool if you have a spare that you could part with! Is there anything specific you're looking for right now (besides a gold guard and a tweed case )?
Justin
The only thing I can think of that I need (that might be comparable) is a black trem arm tip.... if you have one.
If not, don't worry about it.

This looks really awesome. I get my neck Thursday. My pickups are going to stick up way too high though, even getting the neck shimmed up it seems. We'll see. I'm still missing a few parts (a couple switch tips and parts for the upper controls) but I have everything else I need to put the thing together.

My pickups are fairly high, but I don't think the bridge is going to be any higher than a Jaguar with a mute. I had to cut the height adjustment screws to the exact longest length I could fit in there to get them as low as possible (the pickup height screws). I just really didn't want to do any routing to fit them.
We need to see some photos of yours now

Very Nice, looks way better than mine, I like the contrast between the guard and the finish, the simplified controls are cool, volume and a switch its all ya need...

This has influenced me to maybe build a lefty JM myself.
You sanded the headstock down perfect. Any secret to how you did it so well? Also where was the decal from?
The chrome/black/green looks great too.

Re: Starting my Jazzblaster project
Thanks for all the compliments! I just finished it a little bit ago. I must have a pretty good eye for setting these things up because I got everything nearly perfect the first try. The neck relief is pretty good and the string height is about perfect. I ended up not shimming the neck much at all. I originally thought I was going to have to stack a couple shims in there, but one thin one ended up working out well.
It sounds really nice. It's ctually a little smoother and subdued than I originally expected. I have a .047 cap in there right now, so I might go to a smaller value to see if I gain any more high end. Don't get me wrong though, it definitely sounds way different than a normal Jazzmaster
I'll get a few pics up soon.
