I'm convinced the Marauder pickguard is it's own thing.

It borrows most from the Blacktop Jaguar. But the Marauder has less screws, more curve at the horns and, overall, looked to be slightly smaller than the Jag 'guard when I compared the two side-by-side in a store (i.e., fewer square-inches). Granted, that was me eyeballing and not actually measuring.
Nothing is anything until it is written. After that, it's everything.

I'm pretty sure the Modern Player's control plate is entirely it's own. It's definitely not from one of the models you mentioned, and I can't think of anything else it would come off.

Yeah, a bandmate plays one it it's definitely not off of anything else- it's closest in size to a jag plate though.

The closest shape it resembles is the squier supersonic controlplate. Or even the Mustang bass cp.

the pickguard isn't an issue i could cut one out but the control plate is a big problem so here's hoping that it's a mustang bass plate

i'm not exactly building a marauder just yet i'm just planning it out... the thing is this guitar is amazing!!! it's what you get when a strat and a jazzmaster have a child... all the strengths and none of the weeknesses of the predecessors but i honestly believe i could make the guitar even better... now i'm planning this build but i may not go ahead with it... it all depends on fender and where they see this marauder going

I think it will stay where its at and just be a limited thing. Maybe make a sunburst one and then call it quits.

I was lucky enough to score one of these new Marauder control plates off Ebay. Keep looking and one will show up again eventually.

Holy thread resurrection Batman...
But isn't it basically just a reversed (or left hand)Jaguar plate?

It is definitely its own thing.

You can find them here but they are listed as Mustang bass control plates. Which is totally un-true.

Good find. Thanks. Will order one and get my brother to send it on as a gift to avoid Brexit tariffs.
