Took out the PAFs I had in my Jazzblaster and went to single coils. These are OEM JMasics style pickups, so they are more full in the mids than traditional JM pickups.

An old friend dropped around these two MIJs today for some fixes, Mustang bridges and setups...

Just finished up this buffered, 3 loop switcher for a Secret Santa gift for someone. The buffer is one from Analogman and can be switched out of the circuit. Accidentally ordered the wrong color anodized nut for the middle loop, shoulda been green and didn't realize til I was shaking it down. Just didn't have the time to order the right one and wait on shipping.

Yeah, when he pulled it out of the gigbag I thought of your one actually. This is a 1994 one he's had for, fucking hell, 26 years? Still doesn't know how to set them up :D They don't need much. Couple of busted switches on the Jag and some crackly pots all-round. Both still had OG bridges so I've convinced him to let me slap on some Hosco Mustang units seeing as they're only about £30 each and will make them so much more playable.

The JM is getting half rounds as well (his request) which will sound nice. It's got some kinda aftermarket pickups in there too that I don't recognise... definitely proper JM ones though so they sound decent compared to the usual MIJ strat-a-likes

Thank you! There's a bunch of layers of clear coat over the tapewriter labels so I hope they stay in place for the long haul. Also, forgot to mention that the buffer is at the end of the chain.

mine is a 96 so a few years off. if i can remember rightly, the CAR with matching headstock stopped in 96.

i still use the graphtech saddles (i just built a graphtech bridge 10 mins ago) £45 but once you get them good, their good forever imho.

i'm considering half rounds on my next jazzmaster build (oh it's gonna be something fun)

Got most of the parts, just starting to assemble. I have a set of JM-PAFs to throw in, anybody else using a set? Should I have to adjust any pot values?
