Nothing to show really, but ordered one of those cheap blacktop bridges off amazon for seven bucks. That plus some locktite should suite my needs until I determine if a Staytrem is conducive on a $350 partsmaster. I'm going to order a MM neck in the next few weeks, but I think a custom decal from HNB will kick my butt into gear and inspire me, so I'm gonna go to him for that soon!

Also ordered a lefty barrel saddle bridge from guitarfetish for the affinity telecaster and a set of 11s. I've been playing it in a full-step down tuning and 10s aren't really doing it for me. I'm a little worried about the lack of intonation adjustment on the barrel saddles verses the stock bridge, but I want that look and the option for an ashtray (it looks classy IMO). Going to have to drill some new holes but I don't really mind. Shame GFS doesn't offer the lefty tele bridge with compensated saddles in addition to barrels like they do with the right handed variety. C'est la vie.

That stealth Jagsquier is looking awesome. Kind of reminds me of this Marauder prototype with the hidden pickups, the tort is gonna look fab.

Your guess is probably better than mine! I wouldn't be surprised if they look exactly like the 16-pole pickups you made for Paul Rhoney. As far as I know it's one of the earliest Marauder prototypes, I guess to check the pickups and switching.

I still haven't put the Jazz Bass VI together with your 12 pole stealth pickup you made me yet, I've been meaning to do a couple of things on it and need to start making decisions!

By the way, I sent you an email / PM a while ago about making some insane filtertrons for a project guitar. The offer still stands if you're interested.

Anyway, Finboy that guitar just looks incredible. Stunning, utterly beyond words. The pickguard is the perfect match for the burst, and I love how the curves of the bridge plate work with the pickguards shape. The blank control plate is just the icing on the cake! Kudos to you, sir.

Bumpin this up again just because it's so awesome.

What's next on the list, Finboy?

You've got me thinking about a fully reverse Jag...It would be utterly stupid for fret access and control positions but maybe with a blank control plate so the knobs don't get in the way and just using the roller pots and hex it could be do-able.

I still have a sparkle pink tele plus to finish, the 7 string needs some tweaking, the isaakaster needs some soldering, etc. No rest for the wicked, I do have another photo tutorial of the binding replacement that I will wrap up in the next couple days, the first on mjt finishing was well received so I might carry on as I learn more from my buddy/luthier at Guitar OR

Full reverse would work well, upper fret access is overrated if you have more than 1 guitar, and you can use the rhythm circuit for the tone/vol controls. Put a 3 way in the switching plate, then use the 2 way switch on the rhythm circuit plate for the strangle switch. I would use the angled marr style plate and angle it opposite of strumming direction to avoid accidental knocks. I would also run a completely blank vol/tone control plate, maybe even make it out of spitfire tort like another adh project that had plastic control plates.

Haha got a lot on then!

Yeah I reckon the scheme you suggest could work well, what with the rhythm circuit plate being on the opposite side even a couple of mini Jazz Bass knobs would fit I think and not get in the way, maybe with a strangle as well or on a push / pull. Even a 4 way with a series option could work.

Agreed, who needs cutaways when you have like a dozen guitars!

I've been practically masturbating over the pics of Hendrix playing a Jag, it just looks so cool. It would have to be a graffiti yellow relic, with white undercoat and one ply guard...

Looking forward to the binding pics, been meaning to try my hand at that.

Just use the stock rhythm circuit plate with 2 1meg mini pots and stock rollers

Remember that 70’s Strat neck I bought? It found a friend...

Now if I can make a deal with a pair of wide range hums I found on reverb, I might have some progress
