For the European customers - shims from Paris for 7.50 EUR, to avoid those ridiculous prices from Stewmac (or Emma):

https://www.luxguitars.com/les-cales-de-manche

I paid postage 1.5 EUR, received it after a less than a week. Turns out I do not need it but nevertheless.
This is an absolute life saver! Thanks! :w00t:

Any tips for sourcing a (nice!) mint pickguard in the UK? It's to go on an Ocean Turquoise AO. I can't find the official Fender one in stock anywhere in the UK and most of the aftermarket ones I have found seem to come in a horrible luminous shade.

Anyone got a source I should try?

Does anyone know if the 'vintage mint' by earlpilanz on eBay is tasteful? This guy also does samples which might help to answer the question, I suppose.

Does anyone know where I can get a 1" wide bridge for a bass VI project with a 7.25" radius. I contacted John at Staytrem but he said he's not making the 7.25"bass VI bridges anymore and he doubts he will in the near future. I will use a mastery if that is the only option but just seeing if there is anything else out there.

earlpilanz, AKA Brian, is super duper helpful and has made me maybe a dozen or more pickguards (of which many were custom requests). Sometimes you need to do a teeny bit of fettling to get his to fit perfectly but the prices are great and worth that little extra effort IMHO
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

You are welcome, luckily there is alternative to Stewmac.

I bought my white from IKNMusic, but I remember seeing some nice mint ones. IKN has a shop on Amazon, Ali, or you can buy direct. EyMusic had some but I don't know what is the situation now, IKNMusic had what I needed (20 EUR three-ply white for 20 EUR including shipping, american vintage and squier vintage/classic compatible).

I feel like this list needs an upgraded sticky...seems most of these parts shops are gone.

anyone know of anywhere selling the mustang style F tuners with the plastic buttons as a set of 6 and not just individually? seems rather silly to buy 6 individually packaged tuners.

0013189049 is the part number for the individual tuner to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

I don't think you can buy them as a set. For some reason, they're only sold individually. I have no idea why. Darren Riley has them for $10/each, though.

Who is making some of the best bang-for-the-buck custom necks right now?

Musikraft seems great...anyone else?

I think I want to get a high quality neck made to replace my CV neck. I like the radius and the fret height (6105s I think?) but a higher quality neck would send the guitar over the top.
Same question for me. Looking to build a Jazzmaster neck, big headstock, blocks and binding.

I went all out with a MusiKraft neck and I love it - totally worth it. Lots of options. Here's a link to my partsbuild with the Musikraft neck and an MJT body - lots of photos, too - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=122917&hilit=Musikraft#p1731455. 8)

I have an alder body Jaguar I purchased on Fleabay from Saylor Guitars in Oregon. Very high quality and nice grain for alder.

I thought this was basswood with a maple cap...could not remember so I sent a message to the builder. Same day response and I got the correct info. Plus I asked if he could build a Tele body with a 24" scale and he can...and will soon!

I really like the shorter scale...easier on my arthritic paws that also suffer from peripheral nerve damage and years of abuse from metal fabricating, welding splatter and 51 years of trucking.
