Sherwood Green Jaguar Build
I realized I never shared the finished guitar after the wild ride I had with MJT. Appreciate all of the insight and knowledge on this forum with helping me build this amazing guitar, this is my first Jaguar. I built this guitar as closely as I could to vintage spec with modern parts and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!
Specs:
* MJT Finish in Sherwood Green (excited to see it wear more in over time)
* Curtis Novak Jag-V Pickups (with series mod)
* ToneShaper Wiring Kit with my own homemade brass plates & cloth wire
* Musikraft Neck
* AVRI hardware
* Crox waterslide
* Tone Party Strap

That looks great. More OTM to my eye/on my monitor, but really nice nonetheless.

Looks awesome. How did you get the neck so dark? It looks pretty light in the first 2 pics, but looks like 60s dark rosewood in the rest. Would be interested to know your method.

It does look a bit more blue in the photos, it's a really hard color to photograph with the metallic. I would say in person or in better lighting it looks a lot more green. OTM is one of my favorite colors as well so even if it leans in between I'm a happy camper .tequila_in_teacups wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:51 pmThat looks great. After I did the fretwork on it I made several passes with this stuff and let it soak. Like absolutely cover the fretboard with it and in 5 minutes came back and rubbed it in/off. After a few times the board really darkened up and has a nice sheen to it, I think it was just very very dry when I received it because it doesn't have any dyes in it that I know of.alexpigment wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 3:46 pmLooks awesome. Thanks for all of the kind words guys!

Vintage Sherwood always looks like modern Teal Green Metallic.
