Nirvana Jag project

Post by Tbyrne13 » Sat Mar 25, 2023 8:46 am

Hi Everyone,

I recently scored a Fender Kurt Cobain jaguar loaded body. Looking for a neck. I was bummed to find out the signature model is a 9.5" radius. I definitely want the 7.25" so I started researching. I appreciated the post of vendors. I have my sights on BYOG.com for a custom jaguar neck build. They offer the correct radius, fret size, and decent woods. Pretty nice price too. With everything done I'm looking at $430 for a custom neck with binding and wudtone aged amber finish.

Anyone have any history with these guys? They seem legit.

And does anyone have any experience with wudtone finish on their builds?

No history or advice to give you for BYO, but am curious on the results if you go for it.

Musikraft is another option, I've heard generally good things about their necks.

I have a Musikraft neck and it's beautiful.

I agree! It can be a long wait for a Musikraft neck, but I'm very happy with mine.
