What tuners do these take?
9.5mm holes.
I briefly popped a set of Gotoh sealed tuners on there and they fitted well. But i reckon you could also go Vintage Kluson style if the bushings are big enough

Ah okay, so with some conversion bushings then, Kluson style tuners would be an option.

How is the nut? I bought a Chinese neck a while ago, and the nut had to be filed down quite a bit.

My Jag neck arrived today.
First impression: I'm very impressed!
Cosmetically, it looks great. The side dots are wacky but I can live with that.

Wow, that grain looks amazing!

The nut looks a bit crap. It would definitely need filing and I'm not sure it's centered properly.
Looks to be made of the same stuff as the classic vibe Squiers.

while i do love mine now, when it arrived the heel wasnt flat and required some work. the first time i mounted it, it was causing the pocket on the body to bend. also, almost all of the frets needed to either be re-seated or filed and re-polished a bit. this is honestly not a deal breaker for me and it was fun to have a little project. i really like the neck now. the nut on mine was even fine, just needed to be sanded/polished. the pocket on the squier is a bit wide (about a mm gap on either side) but who cares. i think if you were using it for a project, it is well worth the $80.

I figured these would need a pretty good fret level and polish. That's no big deal for me either.
They look pretty amazing all strung up like that!

Tempted but I wish there was a dirt cheap jag body to go with it.
