It looks really, really cool. I really love your builds.
Congratulations on finishing it on time despite the setbacks. That makes it even more impressive!

I love how the "adventurous" design is offset by the somewhat understated colour palette. Very nice!

Re: The Hairmaster - MK II
Heck, looks like I lost about ten pounds in the process of building this guitar. And that we both need to eat, sleep & not drink Buckfast for a while
I am proud (and relieved) to say that they loved it - Erica said it was time to retire her blue Mustang. She rocked the s**t out of it during soundcheck and played it for a couple of songs during the gig. It sounded super-mean. Then it went totally out of tune - the strings had only been on for a day or so It was really fun to hang with them four and I learned a whole lot about what to do when you find a brown snake in your house in the bush.
My own pictures are kind of bad:
...now I'm gonna take a week off (if I survive that nasty Buckfast hangover)!

That’s so awesome!
The buckfast hangover… well, only got yourself to blame. There’s a reason no one in the UK actually drinks that stuff.

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Absolute legend. That band are the folks I would have over for dinner if I had my pick.

I studied in Edinburgh and let me tell you, Glaswegians are (in my experience) disproportionately likely to go for it!sal paradise wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:42 pmThat’s so awesome!

What can I say of the Hairmaster - a very successful exercise in balancing excess and understatement in equal measure. Bravo!

Ah yeah, I forgot about the Scots. I spent a few years in Dublin & the young’uns were mad for it there, tooDeed_Poll wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:07 amI studied in Edinburgh and let me tell you, Glaswegians are (in my experience) disproportionately likely to go for it!sal paradise wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:42 pmThat’s so awesome!

Yup. I used to live in Scotland too and that's where I twisted my palate enough to start liking what is essentially a bubblegum flavored cough syrup with loads of caffeine in it. Part of it is nostalgia - part of it is pure guilty pleasure. I also tried to get them to endorse my band, back when I was living in Manchester. The band was called Naked (on Drugs). They never got back to me. Wonder whysal paradise wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 9:02 amAh yeah, I forgot about the Scots. Thankfully you can't find it anywhere in France, so my liver, kidneys and other important organs are safe unless my English friends bring some with them when they come over!

Holy fuck that's so cool.
One particular Drones show may well be the best gig I ever went to, And I can only imagine Gareth playing one of my guitars. Congrats mate.

This made me grab a ticket to see TFS when they come through next month. So I can perhaps document further sightings.
