Yeah, I'm not a super picky person, but this is too much money for something so flawed.

I would not give them opportunity to fix it, personally, I would just return it for refund.

I wonder how it is for people getting their botched/returned stuff off Reverb and Ebay. :shifty:

They wouldnt give me a refund, would only offer to redo it for me. I gave up after the second body they sent also had paint lifting.

Well, this has turned into quite the headache quickly. I reached out to MJT with all of the details in the forum, here was their reply:

We will open a UPS Claim for your project immediately. Please make sure to keep all packaging and materials and items together for UPS to pickup and inspect for the claim. We will keep you updated on that as they communicate with us!

And absolutely any parts that are incorrect or are missing we will replace no problem at all!!!!

If you would do one more check and see if there are any other parts missing just so that I can make sure we don’t miss anything else for you and just make a list that would be great!!!

Thanks so much and we will do whatever we can to make sure you’ve got a project that you LOVE Ryan!

I would really like to see all of the problems sent in the email above addressed including the finishing issues. I'm not seeing any other parts missing but it would probably be helpful to check on your end once it gets returned and make sure all of the parts included in the full kit are there. I have everything packed up and ready to go back.

Maybe it is just me but I feel like they are walking around the finishing issues by bringing up the missing parts rather than addressing the inconsistent finish. Oddly enough I get a email from UPS the day after I reached back out to MJT:

I wait around my house Wednesday from 5:15-8:15 and nobody shows up. I reach out to UPS help support while waiting around 8pm and here is the conversation, they tell me that the return to shipper request was made today. Either MJT was lying to me and forgot to file the report for a week or someone on UPS side just now got around to it:

I sit at home Thursday between 5:15-8:15 and nobody shows. Today I call UPS and they tell me that somebody picked up the package Wednesday (which never happened, it is still sitting in my living room) and now they will have to file a new package pickup return all over again.

I'll keep posting in this thread as the story progresses for all who are interested.

That is totally strange. Payton is normally the guy I work with for my stuff. Him and Matt just got my custom Jag-Stang and they are going to silver burst it for me. MJT has always been good to me. Sorry your order is going so weird. I don't think Matt is retired. He has emailed me two or three times in this past week.

Ah ok. I thought it was Matt and Jenny, not Mark. My bad. For what it's worth, this burst just came in this past month and I love how it turned out. Again though, I went relic not closet clean.

I’ve had nothing but luck with them, but I’ve also made friends with the staff and visited them in person quiet a few times. I haven’t ordered from them in about a year, so I can’t speak on any recent qualities or lack there of
