Been hearing some horror stories about their finishing time but I also understand having finished with lacquer a bit myself. I noticed on their build the jazzmaster pickup routes aren't the larger traditional one. Does anyone know if that's just an artifact of their site builder?
Mine (a Telemaster body with JM pickup routes) has routes that should fit the covers exactly (I stupidly forgot to order any from Reilly with parts order), but I also ordered a rear route and set it up for no pickguard, so that's appropriate.
Also, did an initial run with 180 grit to get the tooling marks shaved down and I'm more and more happy with it. The contours are deep and nice, all the little holes drilled. Everything feels good. So we'll see.

Still have minimal checking on the front of the body. Checks are slowly accumulating here and there.
Will see where we’re at on Friday. If it’s looking good, we’ll get it shipped out."

I think it was actually end of March/early April, when I placed the order. With all of the extra time, it's going to be EXTRA super good though.. so...

Has anyone received a finished Body/Neck from Tonebomb in a reasonable amount of time recently or is the pattern of 6 months or more just standard for them?
I'm only finding a few really negative experiences online and most seem to be during the prime Covid years.

Nobody seems to be getting anything from them finished in a reasonable time. Unfinished is a different story.

Bummer. Ordered a finished body & neck from them. I guess I'll find another place to get me something quicker. If I ever get the one from Tonebomb I'll turn it into something. The price was great and if the quality is as good as everyone says it will make a nice instrument.

No, they're finishing building the barn that they will later be tearing down to 'reclaim' the timber from - on Monday.
