GuitarForm Jazzmaster Thinline

Post by michel v » Mon May 16, 2022 2:43 am

Some time ago, I received this body from GuitarForm / Deed_Poll.

Image

The neck is a roasted maple Vintera 70s Strat neck. The headstock didn't have the pin holes for the machine heads, so I had to drill them by hand.

Good enough!

Test fitting the parts…

I hand painted the body, so it's a little bit rough.

I also managed to ding the body before I even played the guitar :D

The neck is beefier than what I'm used to, but I'm liking it so far.

All in all, very happy with how it turned out!

Dude!!! Looks absolutely fantastic. So glad to have been a part of this, I think your paint job is great and will continue to look better over time :)

Do you mind if I use the pictures on our gallery?

Cheers!

Hi Dan!

Feel free to use the pictures :). If you need larger sizes, the Flickr album is here: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzQ8R8. There's also a couple more photos in the album.

Cheers,
Michel

Thanks!

It's called Capri Pink. It's a chalk paint, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, it's a bit lumpy. But I love the colour!

How are you finding the sound? Have you played at high volume yet? Any warm feedback to report? :)

Sounds great! Well balanced.
I only play at home, and don't tend to play at high volume. I may try to get it to feedback just to see how it goes ;)

The unplugged sound is quite interesting. All those Jazzmaster overtones from behind the bridge are amplified by the cavities :)
