This is possibly the most beautiful guitar finish I’ve ever seen. I like grain, and that grain is insane in the membrane!

Re: Blue Dye Ash Jazzmaster
Thank you!! I appreciate it. I have it drying. The tru oil takes a few days to loose the "tacky" feeling. I will look it over then and decide if I want more or not. I tend to not to finishes super thick. I still like wood to feel like wood as much as I can. I use finish mostly for humidity.

Re: Blue Dye Ash Jazzmaster
Got the neck, tremolo, bridge thimbles, strap buttons, and a coat of shielding done today.

Re: Blue Dye Ash Jazzmaster
Shielding is done and grounded to the bridge and eventually to the volume pot.

Broken record here but that would look tight with a gold guard.

It looks ok. I put one on it to see how it looked. I am team black with this one.

Re: Blue Dye Ash Jazzmaster
Got it all buttoned up and decided to go with chrome knobs because the black ones were getting lost in the look. I am SUPER happy with how it looks. The pickups are cool. The neck pickup isn't too bassy and the bridge is pretty bright. A bit brighter than I would prefer, but tone knobs fix that. Plus a lot of distortion and fuzz take off high end anyways. Middle has a good balance between the sounds. I like the roasted Warmoth neck. It has a great shape.
