This body was stupid cheap and I am stupid and had a pickguard and pickups already sitting around. (Also I like the black bridge someone installed.) It is getting black hardware. It should have a stormtrooper vibe. LOL

Yes! Stormtrooper vibe! Love if! Maybe swap out the pickups for some black ones? And get a sticker of the Imperial cog? Haha. Or a headstock decal that says "trooper-caster" or "Empire-caster", etc?

Don't swap the pickups! Just add those frames (they're plastic and won't affect the sound): https://www.banzaimusic.com/retromatic- ... black.html

I ordered them. What holds them to the pickup? Normally covers are soldered to the back. These look like they press on?

Never used them myself, but apparently they just hold tight. I've seen plastic covers have a little nub that clamps on the baseplate, but I'm not sure those have them. I'd probably tape the cover to the plate, though.

I installed the new black ferrules. I had a little chip in the paint happen. Seems to always happen when installing ferrules on a finished body. LOL At least the body wasn't perfect to start out.

i've said it before but the affinity hh is a great mod platform. i kinda wanna build another one tbh. feels like the sequel to the jagmaster i always wanted.

They are super solid and give a lot of options for any kinds of pickups and such a person could like honestly. Not much you can't do with them.
