Re: This week at Copacetic Customs...
I think its technically been about 2 weeks since my last update, but I have lots of cool stuff to show for the gap
Finished up this quick and easy Black NOS Poly refin on a lefty Classic Vibe JM. Had this one turned around in less than a week from reciept! Gloss black isnt maybe the most exciting finish out there, but it sure is satisfying to polish it up and see it shine
Next up, one that im sure will stun a lot of you... doing up this jag body in Coke Bottle Sparkle
Probably the most oft-requested color ive gotten since starting to offer sparkle refins. Ive never been able to get the base color+ flake combo right, until recently. Finally going to be able to offer it as a stock color! Still TONS of clear coating left but you can see where we're headed at least!
Next in line, one of my favorite Bass Vi's ive had the pleasure of refinishing yet (out of like 15+ in the last year or two ) in "bright" aged lake placid blue. I feel like i keep inching closer and closer towards the perfect vintage LPB formula, and this is definitely the closest ive gotten yet imo! The aged pearloid block inlays are my favorite touch on this one...
Coming in hot with some Japanese City Pop vibes, i finished up this mock '66 Jazzmaster custom build. I nerded out and went full early 66 on this one with the large headstock neck, B&D rosewood board, etc. Painted in my version of an old Plymouth color code from the 60's which I call Kyoto Green.
Lots more on the way, but thats all that's newly completed for now..
Some sneak peeks at DiPinto's im currently painting that will be ready in the coming weeks...
Thanks as always for looking :-) keep it copacetic!

burying those flake finishes takes forever. Coke bottle green looks amazing though.

Re: This week at Copacetic Customs...
Welp, another week has flown by and another round of cool offsets (and some teles) have come through my humble little Texas shop. Without further adieu...
Finished up just last night, this krazy kool DiPinto Orbital in Lilac Purple with a Pink Sparkle painted pickguard and truss rod cover. Probably the wackiest refin ive done yet, but man this thing is glorious.
Turned this one around really quick--less than a week! Thinline tele body sprayed in Forest Green Pearl poly NOS. Lovely shine in the sun...
This vintage 1964 Mustang body (very poorly stripped and stained by previous owner) was sent to me to be done-up in light relic aged competition blue. In hindsight i would have taped off less of the finish (probably would have just taped off the cavities and the neck pocket tbh) but this was my first time leaving original finish underneath for verification, so i just taped off all the original finish that was left. None of it will be visible with a pickguard/tremolo installed, so the customer didnt mind.
Did up this Tele custom build in Gibson Ember Red nitro NOS. Also refreshed the wiring with some new CTS pots, pushback wire, cavity shielding and installed some new plates and tuners. I forgot to take before pics but you guys have no idea how much stripping, planing and grain filling this one took to get level and smooth
Moving on to projects i started this week...
Teal Green Metallic nitro Jaguar in progress... Allparts neck lacquered by yours truly, going to be relic'd with a little hint of sunburst peeking thru
Black nitro Jag build for Tim, the owner of the Coke Bottle Sparkle jag body i posted recently. Based around a KC jaguar neck and a ToneBomb alder body:
Aged olympic white Sim '61 Jazzmaster build. Going to be relic'd with a mint guard and vintage silkscreen headstock decal
Deed_poll / GuitarForm Toronado body for Evan, a forum member. Shaped the headstock myself into the sortof bat-wing like shape it is now. Big improvement from the "beak" it started off as imo
Excited to post the next few things i have coming up. Should be just the type of stuff you guys and gals like to see around here

And of course, last but not least we should be seeing some orange all finished up here in a day or soShadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 9:49 amI'm really excited to see some orange on here one of these days
