Someone came into the shop this weekend, asking if they could get this guitar & showed this picture. Unfortunately, the Orbitals are sold out and we’re likely not getting any more. Chris DiPinto was away on vacation, but my fellow tech thought the paint job was rad.
I was surprised by the amount of attention that one got! Seeing it mentioned in a Reverb article and posted on their insta was really cool.
Should have this blue sparkle galaxie finished up in a couple weeks! I think that will be another super rad one when finished up!

Really nice work by the way! I see you post on facebook groups and whatnot often, and always really dig what youre working on!

I posted in my new project thread, but I wanted to post here too. Copacetic, you are the DUDE. This came out SO SO SO good. Definitely has a 70's vibe like you said, and in that mindset, Fender missed out on not offering a Tele Custom or Tele Deluxe in Capri Orange.

I couldn't resist a quick mock-up!

Thank you again! I will definitely be hitting you up with more of my projects going forward ;D

Right?! I'm just blown away by the color and feel. I can't wait to put this one back together. I've missed playing this one.

So glad to see it arrived safe and sound and met your expectations!! The pics posted on your project thread looked amazing! She looks right at home with all the orange you got going on haha.

I love how the color turned out, might even end up using that same code for a comp 'stang here in the next few months... :shifty:

Another week, another 3 refin projects in the books 8)

XII build by forum member Nudger refinished in Burgundy Mist Nitro for Zack, a customer who i believe is also a forum member! I think this is just about the perfect shade of burgundy mist... (50s Oldsmobile Color Code)

Squier Bass VI refin in Tahitian Coral Nitro.. Aged block inlays and aged white plastics for the vintage look, very vibey color that isnt too pink or too red or too orange, just kind of perfectly in the middle of all three

While not an offset, this tele has a bigsby and is sprayed in Ocean Turquoise Nitro so its definitely offset-adjacent... right?
Customer wanted the string thru holes doweled and leveled to have the appearance of a factory bigsby tele. With a little help from a buddy who doweled the holes for me, i got it looking nice and smooth.

Thats all for this week (thats finished anyways)
We've had a run of super humid weather the past 2 weeks so i havent been able to get much spraying done. Hopefully will have lots of cool stuff to show you in the coming weeks, weather permitting!

agreed! the coral was a bit of a surprise, i didnt expect to dig it as much as i do, especially w/ the stock squier tort guard, but i think it turned out really classy looking

Haha, please do! I think it would be a FANTASTIC color for a competition Mustang! Maybe with an oxblood stripe ;)

She definitely feels right at home. I'm hoping to have some time soon to start lining it with copper tape and wiring it up.

Thanks again!!

8) those are both absolutely gorgeous – amazing work.

i've always thought Jaguars would be perfect candidates for Coral, and that VI is proof of concept on a larger (or rather, longer) scale. incredible.

Charlie:

I know I sent you a Tele Thinline body recently, but now I'm having "Offset guilt"...

I'll have to remedy that sometime soon. ;)

Your Graffiti Yellow tele is hopefully going to be finished up in a couple days! The ash grain was harder to fill on this one but its finally getting there.
Bring on the offset projects anytime 8)

Been 2 weeks or so since my last post (sorry--havent had anything to post due to a humid-ass April not allowing me to spray much) but I'm back in the saddle in a big way! Only 2 for you today, but I have about 7 guitars that will be completed in the next week or so, so my next post(s) will likely be huge!

First up, I finally finished up this EBMM Cutlass Bass refin in gaudy Amethyst Purple Sparkle bass boat flakes. Stunning doesnt even do it justice, this thing is a show stopper :?
