I always thought competition strips in an actual color besides black would be amazing, but I don't know if I've ever seen any. I think capri/signal orange and an oxblood/wine/blood red would be a fantastic combination. Just thinking out loud herecopacetic wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 9:22 amoh man, giving me ideas with that Oxblood stripe suggestion....Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 5:28 pmHaha, please do! I think it would be a FANTASTIC color for a competition Mustang! Maybe with an oxblood stripecopacetic wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 8:27 am
So glad to see it arrived safe and sound and met your expectations!! The pics posted on your project thread looked amazing! She looks right at home with all the orange you got going on haha.
I love how the color turned out, might even end up using that same code for a comp 'stang here in the next few months...
She definitely feels right at home. I'm hoping to have some time soon to start lining it with copper tape and wiring it up.
Thanks again!!

Re: This week at Copacetic Customs...
Howdy doody everyone!
Checking back in with some more cool offsets to share! Been a super busy week, nice and warm with very low humidity, prime spraying weather. Finally catching back up with all the work that has been sent my way. Without further adieu...
Finished up this GORGEOUS custom build Jazzmaster.. Vintage body (from 62 I believe) had been very poorly stripped and painted with awful concrete-texture paint that was a pain to remove (sorry didnt think to take pics of it before stripping) but it was a labor of love to restore this vintage American beauty. Sprayed in bright Aged Lake Placid Blue, shes paired with an Allparts JZRO Rosewood/maple neck sprayed in amber nitro lacquer by yours truly. Curtis Novak pickups and aged Fender hardware, ohhhh yeah!
Next up, finished up this rad heavy relic CV jaguar for the reverb/ebay shops. Secret Lavender nitro finish, Player series pickups/electronics, all upgraded Fender hardware, whats not to love? I did more razor checking on this one than i ever have before; finally starting to really get comfortable with it and trust my eye/hands.
Fans of our own Guitar Form (deed_poll) may recognize this body.. GF Toronado body sprayed in dark aged LPB nitro. Neck started off as a Musikraft "beak" shape, which i shaved down to the current shape, which Evan wanted to mimic the old "Bat-wing" Silvertone headstock shape a bit. Cant wait to see this one all assembled!
Rounding off the completed projects this week, did a quick and easy color match on this MIM Jag headstock! Oly white is kinda boring to me at this point but a matching headstock makes it much less so
And nowwww, for a little teaser of things to come...
Graffiti Yellow thinline tele body for forum member cmatthes
Fender Mustang refin Competition blue '69 style!
Sherwood Green jag w/ Willow Green stripes, matched headcap
Stay tuned folks.. there may or may not be even more pieces i havent teased yet lol

Here's a couple of pics I got from Alex last week:
The color in question is Audi district green metallic. I saw this color on a car in my neighborhood and thought it was the business. Here's what it looks like in sunlight:
And oh yeah, if you can track down the paint code for a car color, Alex can magically make a guitar that color. Pretty damn cool

Ah yes! LOVE that district green, actually am gearing up to spray something in it for Jason (Shadoweclipse13) soon! Somehow forgot to include that one on my previous post this week. That should say something about the amount of cool guitars im currently working on LOL. Thanks for sending so much cool, fun stuff my way. Re: This week at Copacetic Customs...
Thanks for all the kind words lately everyone, I'm really feeling the lurrrv lately
Been another busy guitar-filled week around here! Excited to finally share a few of the projects ive been teasing for a couple weeks. Without further adieu....
Finished up this Road Worn Jag in '59 GM Sherwood Green nitro. I think i FINALLY nailed down a "correct-looking" bright sherwood green this time..
Using the same code as the above jag for '59 Sherwood Green, we got a little funky with this next one and added some Chevrolet Willow Green comp. stripes.. The color palette with the mint guard and cream plastics is INSANE! also stained the pau ferro fretboard on this one to look a bit more akin to rosewood.
TWINS!!!!
Finished up this rad graffiti yellow thinline tele for forum member cmatthes! made sure to mask off the F-hole while spraying so it stayed clean and wood-colored on request.
In light of all the recent buzz around the cobain comp stang, this oughta be a popular one with you lot... '69 style MIJ mustang refin in aged Competition Blue nitro for Jeff Porrento, owner of Lomic Guitars and a pal of mine (and forum member) Went with just the Fender logo & pat numbers to mimic a lefty headstock, its gonna be a siiiick guitar when all finished up
Thats all for now folks, i should be checking back in a few days from now with some more cool offsets that i'll be finishing up

Sweet Baby Jebus!
Until recently I had no interest in Sherwood Green, but for whatever reason I’m finding it increasingly appealing.
This one is bloody beautiful!
