MJT has really improved their sunburst. A few years ago I hated every MJT burst I saw- they all had issues like uneven thickness of the black.

That looks great though. I'm glad to see they've gotten better.
They had a fella named Bruce doing gorgeous bursts, he worked there for about two years before leaving. Now Carter is starting to master them.

Finished! I love the burst they did for me. I wanted the red stronger like some of the vintage pictures I was seeing. I think they nailed what I was looking for. Antiquity II's continue to be my favorite Jazzmaster pickups. I know a lot of people like the black cover chrome knob version, but I am really happy with the plastics on this one. Whenever I see black pickup covers I always think reissue. This has an older look in my opinion. (VASTLY cheaper than going vintage as well... Actually vastly cheaper than current Jazzmaster prices....)

I think it looks great. I used to be all about the black pickup covers. Now I can go either way, though I think you chose well for this build.

I don't usually like sunbursts, but that one looks incredible. Love the gold guard too. Nice work!

Gold guard 'bursts being my favorite finish for JMs I've got nothing to complain about here. This ticks all the boxes.

Thank you! I didn't used to like bursts because you see them so often, but a good burst has grown on me quite a bit. I used to be all about Olympic White. :D

Thank you! I think they did a really good job using the pictures I sent for what I wanted color wise with the burst, ring size with the burst, and the wear locations and amounts. The rest went in to place and looks good together. I would say 80-90% of the beauty of this guitar is all MJT. (With my pictures helping guide the end result.)

Thanks! I kind of want a tort burst one now, but I have so many guitars, I really should stop making more.... LOL I have more than my local Ted Brown. Might be even getting close to the amount in a typical Guitar Center.... (Not an exaggeration.)

I think you made the right choice! That finish looks fantastic and the hardware/plastics work really well together.

MJT did a fantastic job on that one - nice! 8)

I really like the appearance. It smacks of classic but is different because there is no tort guard. Well done!
