what cheap pickup should i stick in the neck of my parts bin jazzmaster?
i'm trying to get rid of a bunch of my spares and i'm building a jazzmaster. got everything but a neck pickup. the bridge is a duncan designed VM JM pickup. i'm open to most things in the neck as long as they cheap. jazzmaster, humbucker, whatever. just so long as it's under £30
i've actually got 3 jm bobbins laying about BUT everywhere i call says a rewind will be like £100 so that's out the question.

Man, how on earth does that company turn a profit? Unless they bought a bazillion pieces of each component it costs around 30 bucks to build a pickup.

Sean, I have a P90 (from alegreen pickups) which I think fits a humbucker footprint if that's of any interest. I was going to use it and a Firebird in the bridge for that 335 I sold you.

I have some cheap 'Warman' humbucker-sized P90 you can have for free if you want? It's been languishing in my parts drawer for more years than I can remember
