ExactlyUnicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:16 amTruth is, no one makes block sizes correctly. That’s the whole appeal. One cannot simply get correct aftermarket blocks and binding at stratosphere. A small detail, but an important one for us b-&b lovers.CROSS_guitars wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:04 pmFor that price, you're better off buying a real one from Stratosphere.

Somehow it seems to me that most of those aftermarket B&B necks have the first Block slightly off-center (too close to the nut).
Not too bad but it does bug me.

I know a lot of people who are extremely good at making things that are also extremely bad at selling things.RIORIO wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 10:00 pmThat seems….susUnicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 9:27 pmThat was me who contacted the guy. It was the reverb seller. Anyway, the reverb seller would not disclose any of their contact information. He specifically said he doesn’t give info that out. I find that really odd. I also find it odd that they don’t sell their necks directly. Anyway, they look great. But again..just a little ambiguous. I wanted to see about a jag neck and I had let them know. Didn’t matter to the reverb seller. I’m not sure if it would matter to Brio or not. Maybe there’s another way you could find themN0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 7:19 pm
I can't even find their site. I know you said you contacted a guy who just sells their necks - but were you able to get a contact info to alter specs? I'm legit super interested.
"I will take 50 identical necks" is a much easier conversation than "I would perhaps like one neck but first let me send you 20 emails about it."

I still don't get why the guy can't contact BRIO ... if he knows their warehouse is damaged... help a brother out. Gimmie that DnB

Looking at Brio’s other products, I’m not certain that the product description is completely honest. They look to have a lot of imported products (maybe I’m wrong). I couple this skepticism with the seller’s unwillingness to contact brio/and or brio’s unwillingness to be contacted.N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 11:42 amI still don't get why the guy can't contact BRIO ... if he knows their warehouse is damaged... help a brother out. It’s also off to me that they claim the necks are either made in Japan or Canada. I find it odd that it’s an either or situation. Especially when they’re clearly all the same spec and were likely created at the same time by the same people. My thoughts automatically go to that they’re possibly made in China and they’re wanting to cover that up to justify a higher price. This is my speculation and I could be way off. Just not sure why they can’t be more direct with where they’re made. Or it could actually be a situation where their shop got hit, and they had to move their products quickly to recoup cost. The seller may not want to bother them.
Apart from that, these necks do actually look to be of nice quality. I’m just not a fan of ambiguous sellers. Perhaps they’re telling the truth. But the lack of clarity doesn’t make a case for the product. Especially as they’re a gamble and no one has ever played these.

^^^ you raised several points I have been wondering about too.... Looks like a nice neck but the vagueness seems odd, and MIC came to mind.

Yeah...Carparelli = Brio. That's my bet, at least.

I contacted the seller on Reverb, and he said this:
I will talk with my team and put that on the list for next year. ( few hours lol ). I started the "parts" part of my biz about 3 years ago now, and it just keeps getting busier and busier and crazier ( in a good way ).
send me a pic of a Neck iwth binding and dots, I'll print it and bring it up to my next meeting.
Happy New Year!

In another reply he seemed sure it WILL happen for D+B becks. but 'when' is the question.

I just wish fender would offer all their vintage style options, even if they were all made in Mexico. I’m sure they’d have trouble keeping them in stock. Could even live with a 9.5 radius. These brio necks are tempting though, especially at the price point.

Yea the more this thread pops up, the more I think he’s it’s selling the $70 Amazon necks. Maybe he buys a lot and takes the best and chucks the under par stuff. But I’m leaning towards all his stuff being Chinese built with triple the price.

I agree…something about their marketing seems very fishy to me
