MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst Finished Pg. 3!
Saw this and wanted it. I have kind of wanted to try a Lydia because it looks nicely sized. This one is really light ash also and the color is stunning. Metallic transparent with bursted edge. Ordered a glitter green guard to go with it.

Re: MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst
Didn't come with the ground wire drilled so I did it carefully.

I had some Squier saddles and installed them. Fit great.

Just some Dunlop Dual Design strap locks. I put them on everything because dropping guitars sucks....

That body style looks like a more graceful take on Reverend's Billy Corgan signature guitar. Trans purple would not be *my* first choice, but looking forward to seeing this come together, and I might change my tune once it's all done

Re: MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst
That is a solid point. I didn't really connect it to Billy's signature, but it does have a similar shape.
Your comment is totally what a lot of people say. LOL Stuff like "I hated your idea, but it turned out cool." Hopefully this will be one of those guitars. I always like them when they are done, but I totally understand that everyone has their own preferences visually and sonically.

Re: MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst
I really dig a lot of your builds, and I feel like I'm probably in a minority who actually gets the lyrical references you put in the model names and text under the logos. I guess I probably could have phrased it better, but I think your build history speaks for itself and I do think there's a good chance I will like this one once it's all said and done
Also I'm glad someone else is a 100% dunlop straplock kind of person. I've been using them since the 90's and there simply isn't a better design imho.

Re: MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst
No worries at all. I didn’t take it as a dig or anything. I like having musical themes or some sort of theme when I am working on putting a guitar together. Music and lyrics are a big deal to me and it is fun to combine visual references and phrases.alexpigment wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 6:22 pmI really dig a lot of your builds, and I feel like I'm probably in a minority who actually gets the lyrical references you put in the model names and text under the logos. Re: MJT Lydia in Metallic Trans Purple Burst
I watched a Lydia sell on eBay in white, jumped out of my comfort zone in the last hour and I didn’t bid
but I’m going to get one to try out.
