Next stage of project Jazzcaster....
OK three months on I've decided to bite the bullet.
Ordered a body like this
for all the bits on this
Now need to decide whether to go for a custom pickguard from Alperious for the Zemaitis vibe...
Any thoughts?
Also does anyone have dimensions for Bass VI switchplates? I know I can get them from USA but with customs on top it will be cheaper to get one made.

No suggestions, but that feels crazy!

Picture received from Leonardo at Ceccarini guitars - body now cut out. Next stage will be Candy Apple Red Nitro....
As it's not a "true to concept" Marauder body it's getting a side jack plug.

Now with control plates. I think it's looking great so far.

Cool project. Those ri Coronado necks were a pleasant surprise. I love mine!

About to go into the next stage
So- the body is now sprayed (nitro)
And Leonardo made me this custom pickguard and control plates out of birdseye maple and walnut, which I will be treating with shellac and ultimately wax.
Will probably order a proper Marauder"Starcaster headstock" neck from him at some point as he's been so easy to work with, despite this being a project that has required a LOT of emails.
Volume/tone plate is drilled for Alpha push push 1 meg pots - so this will have as many switching options as a "real" Marauder.
BTW all the work so far is by Ceccarini guitars in Italy. And all the stuff is CNC made so if anyone wants something similar, Leonardo has it all on file now.

And now with the pickguard and control plates on the body. Last pic before Leonardo sends it on to me so I can start putting it together.

Very cool idea for the guard and control plates. I also think the body is the perfect color for showing off those wood accents. Nice!
