Thanks! I like to share my mistakes and how I avoided them again to help keep others from doing the same stuff I did that caused problems. :)

Pickguard came but I ordered the wrong bracket. At least I got it mostly together? I think it should look good.

All done! I am really happy with it. The Revel WRHB pickups sound really good. I did a recording that is uploading. I am happier with the parchment guard than the pearl. Everything is working and sounding great now! It is a keeper. :D

This is killer! I think I dig the parchment idea best on this one as well.

Turned out great! Really like the aging on that body. Nicely done!

This is a super fascinating thread because I know where this guitar came from. HNB, your seller was from my city correct (Chattanooga, TN)? I think this belonged to a friend in a local noise rock band. His brother built it for him right before Covid hit. I never saw his band play using it, normally he plays a 70s era Deluxe Tele. Maybe he didn't get along with a JM but from the pics and info in the first few posts it def seems like his brother may not have been the best at assembling....maybe had not done a build before. Def dig what you did with it way more.

It did come from TN. :D

It wasn't done poorly. It was made pretty well. Drilling tremolo holes isn't really super easy unless you have a system. I had trouble with it until I figured out what worked for me. The builder just used the predrilled neck holes that were in the neck. That isn't a biggie. It is just one of my ocd things to have the neck mounted straight so the e strings sit the same distance from each edge. :D Other mods were totally visual. :D

It is a wonderful guitar. I was just using it today actually. :D
