As I mentioned earlier, I decided against using the new neck and went back to the stock one,which plays quite well and has a real rosewood fretboard. I used a Wilkinson tremolo, which has a pretty massive block and pivot plate- it’s a definite improvement over the stock unit. For electronics, it has a Seymour Duncan import set of Jazz and JB pickups and is wired to controls from a standard series Jazzmaster, with coil splitting, although the volume pot was upgraded to a 1meg cts unit. It sounds fantastic, I’m going to have a hard time letting go of this one!
