It has taken so long to get the body and neck finished, I forget that it is on its way. I am excited to finally get to put it together.

It arrived. It is pretty much perfect. I am super happy. I won't be able to assemble right away. I need to do the shielding paint first and I need to order a tremolo, but it looks so good. Very happy.

I agree. I wanted to try to get it looking like a old Mustang as best as I could. MJT nailed the blue. (At least from my two experiences of owning competition blue Mustangs.) The burst edge is really cool. I was worried about the stripes when I first saw them in picture, but in person, they look totally good. :)

I squared off the tremolo route lower corners with my 1" chisel.

Then I drill pressed the thimble holes and tremolo mounting holes to get the tremolo and bridge installed. Also added a coat of shielding paint.

Then I installed the Kluson tuners. :)

It looks really fucking good....and I know you're probably not this way inclined....but it's screaming out for a Staytrem bridge, which has all the look of an original Mustang bridge.

Regardless of your own personal taste though, what a great build!

I might use an American professional bridge. :) It looks like a mustang bridge also.

Almost done! Just need the nut so I can put the strings on and add the string tree. :) I did go with the AmPro bridge. :) It is looking really good. I can't wait to try it.

It is coming together pretty much exactly how I imagined. Super excited to hear how it sounds. I would have that done already but the nut I ordered for it was not wide enough by a mm or two. I have a different one coming in. :)

are those seymour duncan QP jazzmasters? if so, the design has changed since i last used them but still cool.
