Squier Jaguar projekt finished

So I finished this cool project:
Squier Jaguar "Classic Vibe" , with these mods:
Painted headstock.
Locking Kluson Deluxe machineheads.
Roller bridge.
Fender vibrato.
Seymor Duncan ‘HOT’ bridge and neck pickup.
Shimmed switches to prevent accidental switching.
Permanent reverse mute to prevent buzz.
Neck set 1 degree downward.
All body cavities sheilded with copper tape.
Parallel / Series and phase switching lead circuit.
Volume equiped with ‘duncan’ treble bleed.
Varitone for 6 unique frequiency ranges.
V12 tone control with individual capacitors for better tone usage over stock type tonepot.
Ernieball 11-48 strings.
Black pickguard.
Switchcraft jack output.
Got the cool varitone and V12 from BQmusic, and feel free to ask any questions about this truely cool Jaguar 🙂
Btw. 42 settings are available, with the 6 lead and the rythm circuit (varitone has 6 settings: 7x6 =42)..
If you take the 12 tone settings in accout, its a staggeting 438 unique settings thats possible.. but who’s counting.

Wow! That looks really good! You really pulled it of!!!
Where did you get the Squier decal?

And how do you like the SD Hot for Jaguar? Just asking because the output of the SD Hot bridge is about the same as the Squier Jag pu.
I asume the SD sounds better, but it's still about 12K.

Thanks!
The SD have more bass, and sound fatter.
Especially when set in Series position, almost like humbuckers or p90.
I had to buy both A Squier Strat waterslide decal and a Fender Jaguar waterslide decal, from Ebay (JUST SEARCH FOR WATERSLIDE DECALS), in order to make A Squier Jaguar decal.

What an impressive project! The one thing I really like, on top all the awesomeness, is that you used the squier decal!

agreed! guitar looks good! but i love people doing squier decals. i'm still trying to find a good squier bass vi decal/mashup. i refuse to fender my squiers after painting the headstocks. maybe i'll just do what OP did. great idea.

I’ve gotten Squier decals from AtexxMusic.com in the past.

I was thinking again about this project and the choice of the SD Hot.
I found a used set of SD Jag pu's consiting of a SD SJAG 1 (vintage) neck and as SD SJAG 2 (Hot) bridge.
Price was good, so I got the set. I really like the fatter bridge sound of the SD hot on my Jag. Guitar sounds well balanced, still very Jaguar, but with a bit more power under the hood.
But I also found that the pu's are a bit microphonic... Not bad, but noticable. (I'm sure this has been discussed here before)

I don't do high gain stuff, so it's not like taming a lot of unwanted noise. But when you flip pu switches you can hear them clicking thru the pu's...

Really cool and inspiring mods! Thanks for sharing.
I've kind of made it a rule in my internet life that I'm just not going to listen to anyone who rants about mystical shit like PIO caps in guitars & all the rest of that junk that's objectively busted or so slight as to be irrelevant. - mackerelmint
