The pics are from a flooring guy in VA calling around to guitar shops. I chatted with him for a while and got the impression he thinks (or hopes) he has Brazilian Rosewood as opposed to running a scam. The story he gave is that the wood is from the floor of an ex Air Force One pilot who acquired the wood at some exotic location overseas. He says the owner may have the 15yr old receipt. A guy at Highland Woodworking here in Atlanta also thought maybe Ipe. If the seller can produce the receipt I might ask for a sample to bring to an exotic wood shop for identification... as recommend by the Highland guy.
