Re: Gibbard Style Jazzmaster
The switch shaft was about 1/2" too tall, but the threaded part wasn't long enough to lower it so I cut the tip shorter with my dremel. The knob went on fine, so I figure it should work.

Then I got to work wiring the switch. Since it has legs with no holes to solder wires into like pots do, I looped some single strand wire to make sure hopefully the wires stay in contact where they should. It is probably dumb and overkill, but whatever.

Connected it all and wired it to the volume pot.

Once the pickups come in and the jack, I can finish wiring it up and test it out. If the diagram I found is right, it should do: Neck, Neck and Bridge parallel, Neck and Bridge Series, and Bridge.

Loving this one. The no-hole pickup covers will look cool with that.

Chris, this looks awesome. I cant wait to see the finished product! The no-hole covers on the pickups are a very cool detail to compliment your objective here. Please keep us posted!

Re: Gibbard Style Jazzmaster
For sure! Thank you. I wetsanded the body. I want to wipe on one last coat before I call the body good and get to shielding it. I did get the pickups finished. Switch works great as far as I can tell.

(black jacks tend to be cheap and troublesome) (no casino pun intended)

Feel to AliExpress it, it's like a couple of bucks for 3 knobs: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32915277019.html

Re: Gibbard Style Jazzmaster
Not trying to black it out, just make it similar in pieces to a Gibbard Mustang.
