Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Hi!Thank you so much for you reply, previously i try myself same diagrams frome google, but ,after many attempts of the soldering ,one of the position was off(have no sound)than i found out the issue with pickups metal cover's(at this moment i added the independent ground wire only for neck pickup,) ,in series mode they produce short circuit.after fiasco,Next step,i try put both singles in series aside from my guitar diagram, just straight to jack, and discoverd that bridge pickup metal cover produces shortening.as result i added the 3rd. wire to bridge pickup metal cover as well.
As i see on diagram of Fender XII guitar.the switch is similar to mine, just needed special attention to the numbers of contacts.and correct placement of two extra bare wires from both pickups metal covers .Planned to wire them on volume pot back cover.
Thank You So much !I will make a new try, hope it started work as it should..
Wish you good luck with your wedding plans and with a New Job! [ "][/img]

Just wondering if anyone has made any revisions to Shadoweclipse13's make on a Mustang 5.0 wiring that has reduced the number of deadspots?

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Hi @Shadoweclipse13 !
I need help for an Arirang guitar like this one :
https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/Teisco-EG- ... 2258503261
It has two single coil pickups, and 2 switches for each pickup to turn them on or off.
One volume knob, one tone knob.
What I want to do is to wire it so that :
-when two switches or in the same position the pickups are in series,
-and when both in the other position, pickups are in parallel.
- I also want to be able to use each pickup alone.
Can you help me ? It would be a great christmas gift !
Thanks a lot !

I don't know how to do the switches like that, so they are in one mode when both in the same position, or the other mode when matching the other direction.odieux fonzie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 5:00 amHi @Shadoweclipse13 !

I've been on hiatus from making schematics for a little while as life has just been top busy, and I've had no time to any of my own stuff. Hopefully someone will be able to help you figure this out!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
This reads (to me) like the typical Jaguar Series/Parallel wiring mod would work for you. Ignore the last switch and send the output from the second switch to your volume pot. Hope this helps!odieux fonzie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 5:00 amHi @Shadoweclipse13 !

Hi Shadoweclipse13,
Thanks for your kind reply. I wish you the best for all your projects, you sure helped a lot in the past.
And thank you also @ThePearDream, it helps a lot ! In fact I already have a jaguar with this kind of wiring, that's why I had the idea...!
I'm just not sure where should I connect the ground of the neck pickup ?
Thanks !

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Hi @ThePearDream,
thanks your reply. I already did a few guitar wiring work. My question about the ground of the neck pickup was in the context of this series/parallel wiring. The ground of the bridge pickup is connected to the second switch, but only the hot lead of the neck pickup is connected to the first switch. So it doesn't matter that I connect the ground of the neck pickup elsewhere, say on the volume pot for exemple ?
Thanks !

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Yes, this is correct. As long as it connects to ground somewhere, it should be fine.odieux fonzie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 6:08 amSo it doesn't matter that I connect the ground of the neck pickup elsewhere, say on the volume pot for exemple ?

Thanks for the kind words dude! I'm not done, I just need to get my home (and in some ways, life) back in some semblance of order! I'll be backodieux fonzie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 12:27 pmHi Shadoweclipse13,

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
I finally had time to do it and... the "in series" position doesn't work !
All other positions work just fine. The parallel (both up) sounds right, it is not out of phase.
I connected the ground of neck pickup to volume pot case.
Anybody has an idea ?
Thanks !!

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
Wow, more than 10 years since my last post here, I'm sorry about that but life came in between etc. I'll surely post some offsets soon as there has been a lot of rotation there!
I'd like som help doing something rather basic. I have an old MIJ Mustang, that a friend has had for years and I just got it back. Thought I'd use it for something fun, as it is already refinished and not a collectors item.
Here what I'd like to do:
Use the three way On/Off/On switches to make two SC sized HB:s go SC/Off/HM. My SC-sized HB:s are DiMarzios.
I'm sure this has been done multiple times before and I'm sure I can figure it out, but no point in reinventing the wheel again.
Perhaps this isn't the best place to post?

Re: Shadoweclipse13's Master Schematic Page!
It took me while to figure out how rotary switch works. Than it was easy to sketch wiring for what I need. But still it would be great if someone confirm for me if it is correct. Because I'm not sure if I got it right.
It suppose to be 3 way 4 pole rotary switch. Middle position for bypass. Other positions are strangler from Jag and Rhythm circuit simulation.
I chose rotary because it can be used in place of tone control.
