Wow, that's super cool. It looks kind of weird (like very unusual) to me with the bridge pickup so far away from the bridge but then again it makes a lot of sense tonally and must sound wonderful for sure. Good work!
The bridge pickup is almost in the middle pickup position, so yeah, I guess it will sound interesting.
Aesthetically, it looks different but I guess the whole point is it's a different type of guitar.

Itβs kinda like if in β62 Leo wanted to sell a student guitar to really lead kids towards Jags and JMs, this is what it would have looked like. And then 60 years later there would be tens of thousands of devotees and, like, βI read that McLaughlin recorded In A Silent Way on one of those...β
Donβt fancy it up!

That's just what I was thinking - much the same way it is hard to write a simple, instantly relatable song that makes the listener think "gee, that's obvious, why didn't I think of that?", it is really hard to draw up a simple design that looks fully authentic. I love it (and the Marv above too!)

Thanks for the compliments. If Fender ever wanna hire me for their custom shop, I'm hopping on the next plane!
So as far as the bridge pickup goes, it reminded me of how far up the bridge pickup is on these first run Squier Duo sonics.

Indeed, it came out really nicely with the Coro neck.
Every time I see something like this it makes me realise I'm not a particular fan of matching headstocks but mis-matching headstocks are great!

That '69 looks really great with the Coronado neck. With the new neck and the exposed wood body, I feel like it's more of a 70's version.
If this had a black PG and white plastics, it would be the business.

Cheers,
Yeah, I'm thinking of cutting a black w/b/w/b pickguard for it but I think I'll just leave it as is.

I'm overhauling this old build, again.
It's Coral pink, although it's more faded fiesta red. These type of custom colours vary heaps.

The Cross JagRauder? is mostly done now.
I'm waiting on some key parts. I can't string it up just yet.
But it's all wired up and ready to go
The extra switch is wired as an in and out of phase switch for the middle pickup.
This will hopefully give me some quack sounds.
I'm digging the colour, whatever you might call it.

That's rad. What's the scale length?

It's actually 24.75" Kinda the sweet spot really.
12" radius and jumbo frets. Very thin profile. Probably even too thin for my hands.
