To be fair, they did give the dimensions and the thickness was 0.090" but it wasn't marked out properly

As I am in the middle of a partcaster restoration of a 60s Jaguar, I have been on the look out for orange coloured cloth hook up wire. (which for what ever reason is very difficult to locate)
Bought what I thought was the wire that I wanted from Antique Electronic Supply (
http://www.tubesandmore.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), but this turned out to be plastic coated wire, with an orange coloured cloth outer. infact not what I wanted.
I then fell over the following Ebay web store and these guys have perfect orange colour (and other colours) vintage style 22 gauge cloth wire:

I ordered a US Fender hardware part from them over the holidays via PayPal. Transaction painless, communication great, reasonable price, shipping rapid & free. Unfortunately they sent the equivalent Fender Japan part by mistake. When I emailed to inform them of the error, they emailed back within a few hours, said they'd send out the correct part right away. And they did, and it's here! Excellent customer service, pleasant, no hassles whatsoever.
This was my first transaction with hallwaysopen. I'd gladly buy from these folks again.

I've heard a lot of vouching for the Warmoth, USACG and Guitar Mill necks, but never really heard anything about Allparts. The dguitars website is dirt cheap, I'd love to get in on that action, but there's no point in spending $200 on a neck if it's going to suck, even if you are saving money.
Can anybody vouch for the quality and more importantly, durability of the necks? I feel like they might be great when you first get them but then slowly fall apart...

Can anyone recommend any books or links or anything that'll show how to wire a guitar? I'm considering making my own Jazzmaster out of Warmoth parts, but I have literally no knowledge except being reasonably competent with a soldering iron, having done electronics at school etc. It doesn't seem too difficult once you understand the basics, so hit me with some knowledge

Great, thanks! Just browsing the library on this here website gave me some pretty interesting info too. Even though it made me a bit cautious to dive into a project- - not sure it's quite as simple as I had thought!

That's the only Guitar electronics book I have too. - When I bought it - it was one of few books that had JM/Jag diagrams/schematics.

I had a similar question as another reader. That is, what has everyone's experience been with the bodies and especially necks sold by the companies recommended in this thread (All Parts, Flex, Wildwood, Guitar Mills, etc.).
How do these parts compare to Fender manufactured ones? AVRI, CIJ/MIJ, MIM?
There's a pretty big price difference between these parts and the Fender parts that I see on EBay.
