Yup, go for it! I can provide you with a higher quality image or even an SVG or PDF if you need it too.

Brilliant!
Gracias! I've found a few sources for UV DTFs that I'm going to be doing some graphics with, so as high a resolution as I can provide would rock.
Here's a link to a high res png version
SWEET! Thanks, man! Once I finally finish the pedal I'll definitely show ya!

I was waiting on a 1u mlcc cap and a new toggle switch, so I could finish this one up. Analogman Prince of Tone:

Also, I made another Rat so I could do a few experiments. First, I wired the filter knob differently. Instead of using the typical A100K pot, I used a C100k and wired it backwards. Now you turn it up to get more high end and it feels more intuitive. I also replaced the 47R resistor with a B1k pot for an adjustable Ruetz mod, which I also have on my main Rat. Lastly, and this is the main reason to build this Rat, I socketed the clipping diodes so I could experiment with different types. My man Rat has a switch for diodes, with the normal (1N914) and Turbo (LED) options. I tend to prefer the sound of Turbo mode, but have been curious about trying an asymmetrical pairing of a regular diode on one side, and LED on the other, kind of a 1/2 Classic-1/2Turbo Rat. I want to try some different LED color combos, and some Germanium diodes too. This kind of thing would probably be better done by using a breadboard, but learning how to do that, is another level down the pedal building rabbit hole, that I'm not sure I want to explore right now.

Another batch of enclosures were delivered. First up is a refresh for my EQD Space Spiral delay clone.

EQD original:

The old box:

Keeping with the astronaut theme of the original, the new box features Troy McClure, from his performance in "Stop the Planet of the Apes, I want to get off!". You may remember him from such films as "Calling All Quakers", "Gladys the Groovy Mule", "Good-Time Slim, Uncle Doobie, and the Great 'Frisco Freak-Out'", and "Look Who's Still Oinking".

Burns Buzzaround clone on a pedalpcb "Gnat" board. I used a set of Rangemaster transistors from Small Bear, and they sound gnarly.

Those are both amazing! I *especially* love the Troy McClure Space Spiral. Easily one of my favorite pedals. If you take the bottom row (modulation stuff) and set all the knobs to 10 (100% clockwise), it does this thing where the modulation feels like it speeds up after you hit the note. I use it as my last delay, especially when I use 2 at once.

Thanks! I'll try that setting out, though I usually turn those controls down most of the way, since the modulation it imparts is a bit too chorus-y for me. For modulated delay, I prefer my Keeley Magnetic Echo. That and a Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay are my normal delay pedals (one short, one long). I am putting together an EQD Disaster Transport Jr. in the next few days, so we'll see how I like that one.

I will say that that's not a pedal and setting that I use for a "forefront" sound. Space Spiral set like that, usually with another delay or reverb, and a volume pedal is where it's at for me. A slow chord or some notes, and let the modulation take you for a ride. Also not something I do very often either. I've been writing this one ambient kind of piece, and that's the sound. If I can figure out how to load a short demo track to my SoundCloud account from my phone, I can show you what I mean :)

The flood of pedals continues. This is one I've probably been the most excited for. This one has the first of the Simpsons graphics I've been working with. Though it started out on a different circuit at first, before I ended up matching it to this one.

This is a clone of the Electrical Audio Experiments Model feT, another amp-in-a-box pedal, a Sunn Model T in this case.
Image

Here's my version of it, featuring graphics of Jimbo Jones. It sounds really awesome. I could see building a small stoner-rock pedalboard around this thing, with a distortion and phaser pedal.

Loving the Simpsons-themed pedals. The possibilities really are endless with that.

One of the people I play with uses a Model FET. It seems like it’s tough to dial in, but sounds cool when he gets it right.

Thanks! I'm having a ton of fun working on these. I'm not too familiar with much anything after season 15, but there is a lot of material to work with in there. I think I should be able to put together an all Simpsons board soon.

The Model feT does seem a bit tricky. It's a pretty dark sounding pedal and there are the two different, parallel gain controls. I still need to do a deep dive with it, and try it with other pedals. It should sound cool with a baritone.

I previously mentioned I was putting together an EQD Disaster Transport Jr. clone. Well here it is.

The original, that I didn't really reference in the new design, other than the silver base color.

My clone, featuring Otto Mann, terrible busdriver (disastrous transporter) and great guitar player.

Next up is another amp-in-a-box. I've been trying to add a bunch of these, to have as foundational tones. Pedals are a lot smaller (and cheaper) than amps, so if a pedal can get me 90% there, it's good enough for my needs. Anyway, this ones a Dumble. It's a clone of the Shin's Music Dumbloid Overdrive Special, easily one of the ugliest $600 pedals out there.

Image

Ralph Wiggum seemed like the obvious way to go (cause, like, he's dumb). Everybody loves Ralph (I think?). I used to have a Ralph Wiggum decal on my old '79 Cherokee, I'm pretty sure it was this same nose picking image. Pedal sounds good. The kind of tones that make you wanna wear a serape and turquoise jewelry.

More pedals! I made a clone of the EQD Sea Machine Super Chorus. I've never been a big fan of chorus. I never even owned a chorus pedal until a few years ago, when I decided to give it another chance. I've had a Walrus Julia clone for awhile, but it doesn't do much for me. This one has lot of parameters to play with though, and seems to have some potential to help me see the light.
