It’s one adjustment screw. So yes.

Adjusting the spring tension is the bit that scares me. Seems fiddly as can be. It’s easy?
Very. I'm on my phone right now, so not as easy to search, but I believe it was @timtam that once posted a guide about setting it up by engaging the lock and adjusting the spring tension screw until a gentle tap of the bar makes a clicking sound against the lock when the strings are in tune.

For loose threaded trem arms, I use fishing line. If I’m remembering correctly, 10 lb line. Just put a strand or two into the hole and screw in the arm. The nylon line adds friction and snugs it up, while being easily removable as well.

It's only "fiddly" in a vacuum. Setting up an AVRI offset tremolo is way easier than setting up any Stratocaster tremolo properly ;) Here's the link to set it up correctly:

Essentially, you'll be tuning up to pitch quite a few times to dial it in after messing with the tension screw, but there's no art to it. You're just trying to get it to where a) the locking mechanism engages without changing the pitch, and b) pulling the arm up when it's locked doesn't change the pitch. Probably 5 minutes worth of work in total.
