I blame Countertext for this one. I sent him some classic music by a lovely lady playing a triple bucker SG and he said I needed one. I prefer Warmoth ones because I can bolt on a neck and it has full scale and I can pick a flat mount bridge like I prefer. I ordered one in ash and this is what came today.

I got a coat of black sprayed on the front. I need to do the back tomorrow. I plan on doing three coats of black. Once that is fully dry, I want to rub on some water based white grain filler.

I like how it's looking. How well did the DAP work for filling the grain? Did it shrink a lot or take a lot of coats? Or was it pretty easy to use?
You should hunt down a Wenge neck, like this
Warmoth

The dap was ok. It seemed to wipe back off more than I wanted it to, but I kind of like how subtle it ended up being. Kind of like a pin striped suit.
Wenge necks are super cool. I was thinking of a Kramer banana neck for cool points.

Pots, knobs, strap buttons, and neck ready for it. Just waiting on two pickups, tuners, neck plate, toggle, and jack.

I got the pickups laid out and put tape on the left and right to help line them up. I got them drilled and mounted and when I pulled the masking tape up, it pulled up some of the finish........
So I took it all apart again so I could do some finish work on the front to get it ready to put back together. Might be assembled this weekend. In the mean time, you all might like this.
