Tuners, nut, and neck are mounted. I put everything on to see how it fits. Looks pretty good! The battery box corner comes out from under the guard a tiny bit, but most wouldn't notice it. Everything seems to fit well. I might need to shave the pickguard a bit more by the upper control plate. It is a bit too snug there. I also might need to add more springs to the bridge pickup. The lowest with tension might be too high. I needed flat head screws for my plates because they were not tightening snug enough causing the switches to wobble a bit. I happened to have brass ones. I kind of like the look.

Plus, you know.. brass = tonz. LOL The roasted neck is looking great on this body as well. SO CLOSE TO BEING ABLE TO BE FINISHED! I am just missing the copper tape to help connect the control cavities and shield the pickguard.

Looking great! I hate the feeling of having to wait for that one last part to get to work on stuff.

That is where I am. The ferrules I have had come in are too small. I ordered one more set. If these don't fit, I will plug the back and redrill them slightly smaller to fit. This will be easier if I don't have it all together. So I am playing the waiting game. I really hope these fit right.

I decided to plug and redrill and it went pretty smooth. I cut the dowel so it sat slightly below the surface. I used a long bit to drill the string holes from the other side and used those as pilot holes to drill the ferrule side slightly bigger until it was the right size to get them to fit snug.

Then I mounted the bridge.

I got my fingers tattooed yesterday afternoon so I am going to hold off on wiring until they have some more time to heal. Little progress though!

Plug, redrill for Toronado bridge. Get custom guard, keep angled jb with the new custom guard. That's what I'd do..
This is a really good looking body.

As expected with ash, it is a hefty boy.

Man, that is amazing. The JB Jr. matches the Jaguar pickup visually in a way I did not expect!

I am glad I got a black cover for the Jaguar pickup. They all fit well that way.

I was envious of Aen's that Andrew made so I am super thrilled to have my own version. It is really nice to have another ADH guitar for my collection.
